Re-mind the ‘Nearby’

Re-mind the Nearby weaves together oral history, migration theory and urban history in providing a glimpse into the lives of migrant women – from Eritrea, Syria, Sudan, and Ukraine – and their experiences of settling and creating a new nearby in Halle (Saale). It amplifies their voices whilst bringing attention to the need of re-thinking our urban environment and our ‘nearby’ as a way of re-making ruptured worlds.
